- Multifaceted color patterns and gold inlay in which the artist’s signature surface-embellishment technique is to fill the clay’s natural grain with gold and then scratch it off.
│ DESCRIPTION │
Just like the natural color and shape of a rock make itself a valuable jewel, we’d like to express nobility that porcelain can show. The designer recreated aesthetic points using the traditional inlaid technique.
The way the designer has used colorful patterns and gold inlaid technique which requires scratching of gold after filling gold into cracks naturally created by the porcelain’s texture.
The designer also ground the surface to express the subtle glow of clay and its smooth texture.
This tiny espresso cup can make its user feel precious and noble and allows him to appreciate artistic beauty in daily life.
